Claude and ChatGPT have no one-click install for remote servers yet. Open connectors, choose “Add custom connector”, and paste https://mcp.flightseatmap.com/mcp.

Setup

1 Ensure Node.js is installed (needed to run the MCP bridge)
2 Open Settings → Developer → Edit Config
3 Add to your claude_desktop_config.json:

4 Restart Claude Desktop. Flight Seatmap tools will appear in the tools menu.

1 Open Cursor Settings → MCP
2 Click + Add new global MCP server and paste:

Authentication

Every tool needs a Flight Seatmap account. A free account is enough; your MCP client signs you in automatically over OAuth when it connects.

1 Add the server with the config above — no API key or header required.
2 When it connects, your MCP client opens a browser window to sign in to Flight Seatmap. Approve access — there's nothing to copy or paste.
3 Your client remembers the sign-in for next time. You'll need a Flight Seatmap account; each search_flight uses one search credit from your plan.

Detailed info about a specific seat including features, cabin class, availability, and neighbouring seats.

Guided step-by-step seat finder. Walks you through cabin selection and preferences to find your perfect seat.

Read passenger reviews for specific seats — comfort, recline, proximity to galleys and lavatories, and more.

search_flight Sign in

Fetch fresh seatmap data for any flight. Sign in when prompted — requires a Flight Seatmap account and uses one search credit.

list_seat_alerts Sign in

List your active seat alerts — the seats you're watching for availability.

create_seat_alert Sign in

Get notified by email when a seat matching your preferences opens up on a flight.

delete_seat_alert Sign in

Remove a seat alert you no longer need.

Unlock flight search
