☀️ TRENDING MILES & POINTS NEWS

  • 💳 Chase Sapphire Reserve: Best-ever 150,000-point welcome bonus is winding down with no confirmed end date

  • 💳 Amex Membership Rewards: 20% transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy live through June 30

  • ✈️ Qatar Airways Privilege Club: 30% transfer bonus from Citi ThankYou points live through June 30 - can be chained into BA Avios or Finnair

  • ✈️ Flying Blue: June Promo Rewards live with up to 25% off award tickets on select routes

Picture this: you've been watching the Chase Sapphire Reserve's 150,000-point bonus for weeks, telling yourself you'll apply when the timing is right. The problem is, there's no announced end date - and that's exactly the kind of offer that disappears on a Tuesday morning without warning.

Today we're covering that deadline pressure, plus two transfer bonus plays that are worth understanding before June slips by. Let's get into it.

🤓 Miles & Points Trivia

When you transfer Citi ThankYou points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club with the current 30% bonus, you can then move those Qatar Avios into British Airways at what ratio?

  • 🔁 2:1 (Qatar to BA)

  • 🔁 1:1 (Qatar to BA)

  • 🔁 1:2 (Qatar to BA)

  • 🔁 3:2 (Qatar to BA)

The answer is waiting for you near the bottom of today's newsletter... keep scrolling. 👇

💳 The Chase Sapphire Reserve's Best-Ever Bonus Is On Borrowed Time

From 60K to 150K - A Massive Jump

The Chase Sapphire Reserve has been sitting at its highest-ever welcome bonus: 150,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $6,000 in the first three months. That's a significant jump from where this card normally lives, and by most valuations, those points are worth somewhere between $2,250 and $3,000 depending on how you redeem them.

The catch - and it's a real one - is that there's no confirmed end date. The word from multiple sources is that this offer is winding down, but nobody has pinned a specific day to it. That's deliberate on Chase's part, and it means the safe play is to act now rather than assume you have another week.

The card's annual fee is $550, but between the $300 travel credit, Priority Pass lounge access, and the transfer partners alone, it's one of the most defensible premium cards in the market. If you've been on the fence, the 150K threshold is the reason to stop sitting on it.

Not sure if the Reserve is worth it for your situation? Our Chase Sapphire Reserve breakdown walks through exactly who it makes sense for.

✈️ The Citi-Qatar-Avios Chain That Most People Are Missing

30% More Points, Three Ways to Use Them

Qatar Airways Privilege Club is running a 30% transfer bonus from select bank partners through June 30, and Citi ThankYou is one of the eligible programs. Transfer 10,000 Citi points and you'll land 13,000 Qatar Avios in your Privilege Club account. That's a meaningful improvement on the standard 1:1 ratio.

But here's where it gets interesting. Qatar Avios can be moved 1:1 into British Airways Executive Club, as well as Finnair Plus and other Iberia-affiliated Avios programs. So if you've been looking for a way to top up your BA Avios balance, this Citi-Qatar-BA chain is currently one of the better routes available, especially if you're targeting a short-haul Avios redemption where BA's distance-based pricing works in your favor.

One important caveat: the bonus may not post instantly. Qatar has had delays with transfer bonuses in the past, so if you're booking something time-sensitive, factor that in before committing your points. This is a June 30 deadline, so you have runway - just don't leave it to the last day.

For a full picture of available transfer bonuses right now, check our transfer bonuses tracker.

Qatar Avios can be moved 1:1 into British Airways Executive Club - making Citi's 30% bonus one of the better Avios top-up plays available right now.

💳 Amex to Marriott Bonvoy: A 20% Bonus Worth Understanding (Not Celebrating)

The Transfer Math Is Still Tricky

Amex Membership Rewards is offering a 20% transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy through June 30. On the surface, a bonus is a bonus. But this one deserves some scrutiny before you move any points.

The standard transfer ratio from Amex to Marriott is 1:1. With the 20% bonus, 10,000 Amex points becomes 12,000 Marriott points. The issue is that Marriott points are generally valued lower than Amex Membership Rewards - most calculators put MR at around 2 cents per point and Marriott at around 0.7 to 0.8 cents. Even with the 20% boost, you're typically moving down in value when you make this transfer.

Where it can make sense: if you're very close to a Marriott free night threshold, or if you have a specific aspirational redemption at a high-end Marriott property where the points-per-night cost pencils out. For most people, though, Amex points are better kept flexible and transferred to airline partners. This one's worth knowing about - just don't rush into it without running the math first.

✈️ Flying Blue's June Promo Rewards: 25% Off Awards to the Americas and Beyond

Short-Haul Savings and Select Long-Haul Options

Air France-KLM's Flying Blue program has published its June Promo Rewards list, offering 25% discounts on award tickets across a range of destinations. There are solid options into the Americas, plus a number of short-haul European routes for those working with Flying Blue miles.

One honest note: premium cabin options to North America are limited in this batch. If you're chasing business class to the US on Flying Blue miles this month, you may find the discounted availability is thin. Economy and the short-haul options are where the value tends to sit in Promo Rewards months.

These discounts are for travel over the coming months, not just June departures - so it's worth checking specific routes even if your travel dates are a bit further out. Award Travel Finder tracks live availability across Flying Blue and other programs if you want to see what's actually bookable before committing.

🏨 Choice Privileges Sweepstakes: Up to 1 Million Points for Cardholders

Summer Sweepstakes Plus a New Elevated Card Offer

Choice Privileges is running a summer sweepstakes for co-branded Wells Fargo cardholders, with prizes up to 1 million Choice Privileges points. The mechanic is straightforward: pay with your eligible Choice Privileges card and you're entered. The more you spend, the more entries you accumulate.

On top of the sweepstakes, there's a new elevated welcome offer on the no-annual-fee Choice Privileges Mastercard. Choice Privileges points are particularly useful if you stay frequently at Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, Radisson, or Cambria properties - and the no-annual-fee angle makes the barrier to entry low.

Worth flagging: Choice Privileges is not the flashiest program, but the sweepstakes adds genuine upside if you're already a cardholder. If you're not, the elevated offer is worth a look given it costs nothing annually to hold.

🌎 Trivia Reveal

The answer is: 1:1 (Qatar to BA). Qatar Avios transfer 1:1 into British Airways Executive Club, which is exactly what makes the current Citi 30% bonus so useful. You start with Citi ThankYou points, land 30% more as Qatar Avios, then move them straight across into your BA balance at no loss. Three programs, one clean chain.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve offer is the one I'd keep an eye on most closely this week. No hard deadline means it could run through the weekend or it could vanish by Thursday - I wouldn't gamble on finding out which.

See you tomorrow with more.
